Guittard & Sierra Family Dentistry reopening for expanded care

The country is beginning to reopen, and now it’s time for dentists to get back to work. Guittard & Sierra Family Dentistry is now offering a broader scope of dental services under the guidance of Gov. Gavin Newsom and the California Dental Association.
We will also now begin to see patients for preventative care for conditions that could lead to dental emergencies if treatment is not provided in a timely manner, in addition to emergency services, which we have been offering throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and shutdown.
We’re still unfortunately closed for routine hygiene.
Dental offices resuming preventative care
Here’s what that means for you: Now is the time to schedule an appointment if you’ve been putting off dental care and are experiencing pain, possible infection or conditions that significantly inhibit the normal use of your teeth and mouth and/or issues that could cause any of those conditions without treatment.
We also remain available for a virtual consultations via phone or video conference if you’re unsure or have a question about care. We’ll schedule an in-office visit asap if it’s determined that you need care.

Dental offices remain safe from Coronavirus
Let us also reassure you that a dental office is one of the safest places to be. We have always been obsessed over cleanliness and protection from infection. It’s even more of a priority now.
Our office spaces, exam rooms and instruments are sanitized after each patient visit with hospital-grade disinfectant. Patients will also be asked to wear face covering while in the office.
You also are hearing a lot about danger from respiratory aerosols in regard to spreading COVID-19, but we are taking the utmost caution to use all the aerosol management tools available and limited treatments that result in aerosols if possible.
We are also utilizing the highest standards of PPE for our doctors and staff, including face shields, eye masks, surgical masks, gowns and gloves to ensure the safety of our patients, staff and doctors.
We will of course practice safe social distancing and COVID screening for patients, including taking temperatures.
